We are thrilled to announce that Gini Dietrich is coming to the Social Capital Conference (SoCapOtt) this year!
I’m not sure when I started following Gini Dietrich or where I heard of Spin Sucks, but the second I read the name of her (very popular) blog, I knew I wanted to read it.
Gini is one of those people on social media with a huge following, but she’s still very social with her followers. As a result, Gini has built a community that is engaged and committed to discussing and sharing communications best practices, trends and challenges. It’s not unusual for comments on her blog to get into the triple digits.
I’m a total Gini fan (can you tell?). She’s a highly respected businesswoman who has made a name for herself in an industry (digital marketing) that seems to be largely comprised of men.
I read Gini’s blog because I learn so much from her. She’s not afraid to admit what she doesn’t know and her style is so casual that you feel like you’re discussing news at the water cooler with a colleague.
When she released Marketing in the Round last year (written with Geoff Livingston), I had the chance to finally meet Gini in person when she came to Ottawa to speak at Third Tuesday as part of her book tour.
Gini is a great speaker — it’s like she’s blogging out loud. Meeting her was fun because she’s shy and I can relate to that, but getting to know people I’ve met online is one of my favourite things in life.
So what will Gini be talking about at SoCapOtt 2013? We can’t tell you yet. But the description of what Gini plans to talk about is coming soon, we promise! That said, we wanted to announce Gini’s participation today because we just couldn’t hold this news in any longer.
The truth is that between the workshops, the session speakers and our keynotes, we will all leave Social Capital with our brains brimming with new ideas and best practices to implement!
But you need to be at Social Capital to take advantage of all this social media goodness. Get your ticket if you haven’t already and be sure to follow the Social Capital Conference blog for the latest news and updates.
You don’t want to miss out!
